Error code F1

Just got the gryphon andI cant load a tune! Keep getting error F1. Do I need to dl any software first? I just pulled it out of the box and plugged it in! HELP!!!

The error code 0xF1 can sometimes appear during programming.
Try this:
1. Leave the ignition key in the ON position.
2. Disconnect the Gryphon at the OBDII port.
3. Plug the Gryphon back into the OBDII port
4. After getting to the main screen, wait 15 seconds for needed parameters to be loaded.

If you still cannot program the PCM successfully, contact PHP for assistance. B

Oh man, I just had a wisdom tooth out! I am trying this right now.. Will report back..

Nevermind.. Still error code f1

This vehicle calibration is not yet supported. Check for updates, and call tech support if your version is current.

Why wouldnt this be current?!?!?

Verify what the hex code is when you plug the Gryphon in. It seems to be a mix-up on Corey's part when we did two Gryphon upgrades.....it just so happens that the other customer got your hex code and you got his.

Please post your hex code so Bill can make sure that he gets the right ones on the server for you. (It will likely begin with TNAA)

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Is this something that can be taken care of via the net? Or will I have to send the Gryphon in?

Thanks for the responses guys!

Brian

We can do it over the 'net and Bill will have an update through Pegasus tomorrow for you.

PowaStroka Tue, June 15th, 2010 04:14 PM

AWESOME! :cheesy smile:

How is it done? I just down loaded pegasus, is there a certain procedure to do it?

Can't wait till tomorrow!

cleatus12r Tue, June 15th, 2010 04:51 PM

Go to the powerhungry website at gopowerhungry.com and click on the "support" tab. From there, go about halfway down the page for the drop-down menu of Pegasus.

Download and read the installation/users guide about how to use the update client. (Download both from the website)

I will be putting your programs together tonight and Bill will upload them to the server.

PowaStroka Tue, June 15th, 2010 05:10 PM

Ok followed your directions. I have the manual (pdf file) down loaded.

Will there be some sort of step by step process to correct the matter?

Thanks,

Brian

I just finished putting your tunes together and Bill will be putting them on the server.

You will want to have the truck programmed to stock.
Attach the Gryphon to your computer.
Perform the update through "custom file download" or "targeted functions" depending on your software version.

PowaStroka Tue, June 15th, 2010 07:31 PM

Thank you again!

When will I know I can do this?

Brian

PowaStroka Wed, June 16th, 2010 09:16 AM

Still no dice!!!!

Error code F1

Just did the targeted functions prompt..

And also unplugged the OBDII for 15 seconds with the key on...

NEXT PLEASE?

cleatus12r Wed, June 16th, 2010 09:37 AM

They're not on the server yet.

PowaStroka Wed, June 16th, 2010 09:39 AM

ETA?

Thanks man.. I'm at work so I am trying to do this under the radar. :twitch:

Just want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone at php for helping to get the new Gryphon back up and running!

Of course all I have tried so far is the 120 performance tune, but whoa! What a difference so far just in terms of drive ability!

Also the transmission!!! I always thought my truck shifted pretty good stock, and with any EDGE tune, it was waaaaaaaaaay to harsh! Now the thing shifts ON POINT! :D

Will be posting up on PSN in a bit with more details!!
