Installation question

Hi,

I just got my gryphon and will be installing it tonigth on a 05 f150 and have a couple of questios.

On the cable, what is the short cable with for a 4 pin conector coming out of the OBDII side used for?

Where the small L bracket with velcro goes or what is it for?

I read a couple post talking about pegasus, Do I need it for know or not until my custom tunes are ready?

Thanks

1. The short 4 pin cable is used for another vehicle app. (Don't worry about it)

2. The metal angle mounts on the inside of the pod, righthand side and velcro between the angle and dash. I didn't use it on my 06 f150. The pod is wedged between the 2 panels, takes some work to get it unwedged.

3. I haven't updated mine yet just plugged it in out of the box. I think when php does the conversion from edge to gryphon it gets the latest version anyways.

4. Pegasus is used to update the gryphon and to download your custom tunes.

Heck, Lars did better than I could have. I never could figure out how the aluminum L-bracket was supposed to work, so it's in a landfill now.

Hey Lars,

Do you have any pics showing where that L-Bracket goes.... Also, the other small piece of velcro that came in the same little baggie, where does that go?

Mine fits pretty good on my dash, upgraded to the new style Pod.

Thanks,

Jamie

Lars! Do I even want to "guess" what this means? :smiley_roll1:

OK, I will: Vertical part of bracket taped to inside right side of housing. Horizontal part velcroed to dash.

Did I get it right?
