Hello new

Hello I have a 1970 F250 Highboy that I’m installing a 2000 7.3 Powerstroke & 97 ZF5 five speed. It started out as a frame off restoration that has gone way off the deep end. First I found a company called Battle Born Brakes that makes suspension & brake upgrades kits for my truck, so bought their kits & installed 2006 F350 front & rear axles with 2017 rear leaf springs & next their 99-04 hydro boost brake kit. Then I came across a company called Fordahl bilt that builds the motor mounts & wiring for 7.3 Powerstrokes for the 67-72 F250’s. Now I’m working on rebuilding the 7.3, I’ve built several performance gas engines & a few diesel top ends but this will be my first full rebuild. My hopes are to get around 450+ horsepower out of it. So far I’ve bought the Dynamic Diesel’s stage 1 cam & valve train kit & I’m in the process of tarring the engine down to send it to the machine shop to get hot tanked & inspected. I’m thinking of going with KC Turbos street package (KC300x stage 2 turbo & Fullforce 205/30 injectors & Hydra) & a stage 1 HPOP. Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! A 7.3 would be an awesome swap for that truck. Those KC Turbos power packages are a really good place to start when it comes to determining power levels for injector and turbo combos.

Thank you for your input I have had good luck so far with KC Turbo’s kits. I have their Stage 1 Warlock kit, pipe kit & CP 4.2 fuel pump on 13 F350 6.7 & it runs pretty good & tows like a beast.
