7.3 custom EBPV tune
 

Hi, is it possible to use a Hydra to custom configure the Ebpv on a 7.3 powerstroke to open and close various amounts based on engine rpm, exhaust pressure boost pressure and throttle inputs? If so is this challenging? Is there anyone in northern Utah able to work with me on a project or do I need to learn the software and do it myself?

So, the problem you're going to run into is that the ECM strategies only allow the EBV to be closed at alosed throttle. This is hard coded in the firmware.

The only way you'd be able to do this would be to create some sort of stand-alone hardware that allows for throttle and engine speed input and controls the EBV seperately.

With that said, if you're looking at doing this specifically with the throttle closed, then yes... This has been done and is not difficult to do.
