spam control
hey guys just got to checking spam comtrols and they were set on high would this cause me to have missed my tune e-mail. i have corey's email address stored and have not received any pm's from them. just asking if this could be the reason.
thanks jeremy |
I think it's possible, even with Corey's address stored. Spammers can "spoof" an address, so even if you get something that appears to be from someone you know, it could be pure spam. Spam filters look for several characteristics, and if anything from PHP matches one or more of those characteristics, your filter could classify the message as spam.
What's more, I don't know what return address Corey uses when she sends out the notification. It might be different than HER address. However, I'm not saying a filter caught the message for sure. It's possible, for whatever reason, that your tunes are simply not ready. And, of course, until Corey gets through her gallstone problem, I wouldn't expect to hear much from her. Likewise, I expect Bill's going to have a hard time getting anything done too. - Jack |
Get this one... I got spam the other day FROM MYSELF! Can you believe that crap? The spammer spoofed my own f***ing e-mail address. I mean really, just how crappy can you get? So since I don't send myself e-mails, I just blocked my address.
Ah well... |

But, once in a while, we'd like to hear from you on email. It used to be such a convenient way to communicate. - Jack |
Once things get caught up a little I'll be back around. With Corey being out as much as she has been, it's been very difficult for me. Things are tuning around though and we are getting processes in place to help improve our customer service. :D
