Finally got to try out my tunes.

Well received my tune last week or so, but just now got to try it out since we have had rain everyday. All I can say is wow, very impressed. Definitely loving the 87 performance. It has great throttle response and the power is amazing at and around the 3000-4000 rpm range. Love the downshift when I get on it at the upper speeds also. :2thumbs:

The only thing though, it seems that the TC is real touchy, and that it wants to lock a good bit later(but maybe thats not a bad thing, just I need to get use to it). But I may figure out what settings to play with on loosening it up a bit.

Now I know I have seen this on here before, but I can't seem to find it. On an 87 performance tune what would be the most that you could tow with it? Now I don't tow heavy loads by no means, but I am just wondering if I am getting a "light load" would I need to change it.

The "tow" limit on a non tow tune is somewhere in the 2000-2500# range.

You could try reducing the TC lock/unlock speeds in the Custom Options menu and see if it feels better. That will cause an earlier lockup and delay the unlock somewhat.

Glad you like the tunes.

As I posted in the thread that I started(I'm impressed). I have a hiccup at about 40-45 mph. I don't know if its the same issue as yours. Bill said he was going to modify my tune after I called and talked with him. He said he was noticing it with certain possible HEX codes but was sure.

First off thanks for the replys...

Yea I had thought I seen that number some where posted, but couldn't remember, and also I didn't know if it mattered between the canned performance and the custom. Buts thats good to know because I usually pull about 1400# trailer once or twice a week.

Lars: Yea I had seen what you posted earlier, but I don't really think anything is "wrong" with mine....its just the speed that it locks at is my cruising speed on a lot of roads around here. So it constantly wants to lock/unlock. So I believe as long as I decrease or even increase the speed it would be just right. Just to get it to drop maybe 2 mph or so.
