Like some ideas

Looking at a 6-Position Phoenix Module for my 1997 Ford F250.
I use my truck for just puttin around and back in forth to work most of the time. I also have a boat and on the trailer its at 7000lbs loaded with fuel and equipment.
My truck is close to stock 4X4, 3:55 gears and automatic trans. I have installed Diamond Eye Exhaust, 3"DP and 4" back with the stock cat and the 6637 intake mod. I really don't have any plans to do anything else except to put gages. My PCM code is TDE0, there is a sticker on the stock air box that says reprogrammed per F7TF-TB 12-29-00. I would like to hear what you would suggest for the 6 calibrations that would do me the best. Do you take money orders?

Power levels on a stock 97 are limited to about 60-65 HP. This kind of reduces your options for positions. My suggestions...

1 - Stock (Free)
2 - 25 HP Tow
3 - 40 HP Performance
4 - 65 HP Performance
5 - High Idle or Whisper Mode
6 - No Start (Free)

With that setup, you're looking at $309.00 plus shipping. Money orders are fine.

Hope this helps.

Cool on the M/O
So dose the tow mode just adj the shift and lockup points
Is there a diffreance between the 40 and 65 tow and the 40 HP and 65 HP Performance or are they the same thing.
I like the idea of the high Idle and the whisper mode, don't think I need a no start mode, is the price the same?

Mike:)

No Start is an anti-theft setting. Not a bad mod in my book, especially if it's free!

Mike,

The biggest difference between tow and performance programs are (1) Tip-In fuel (more aggressive on performance programs) and (2) Shift strategies. 65 Tow and 65 Performance are the same power output, but how they aggressive they launch and shift are quite a bit different.

The 2 position starts at $249.00 and each subsequent position is $30.00 when occupied with a "tuned" program. Both the Stock and No Start programs have not tuning in them so we don't charge for them as a position. Whisper Mode, High Idle, Valet, or any of the performance programs all require some degree of tuning on our part so we charge for them.

Hope that makes sense.

Here is what I want to order, what do you think?

1 - Stock (Free)
2 - 65hp Daily Driver
3 - 25 HP Tow
4 - 40 HP Tow
5 - Whisper Mode
6 - 1100 RPM High Idle Mode

How do I know if the calibration is what is on the sticker, mine says TDE0 but I have read that others have been updated to TDE1.
There is a sticker on the stock air box that says reprogrammed per F7TF-TB 12-29-00.
How do you know what is the best order to arrange the different tunes
Like I said I would like to pay with a M/O
Should I print out the order form and send it in with my order?
What should I make the M/O out for?

Mike

TDE0 and TDE1 are virtually identical. The sticker indicates that you were reflashed to TDE1 (almost 9 years ago!!) so that settles those questions. It makes little difference as we'll use TDE1 on the chip anyway.

The order of programs is strictly a matter of personal preference. We do always recommend running stock in the first position as this is the position the chip defaults to if there is ever a problem with the switch. The order you have indicated is what I would have recommend anyway.

Yes... please include the order form with the M/O.

Make the M/O out to William Cohron.

Hope that helps. :D

I ended up paying with a CC, I could not wait. :drool2: Did it come thru in the email I sent?
I requested a change to the tunes in the email sent you. After talking to a couple of friends we came up with this, it seens to fit my needs much better.

Thanks Mike

1: Stock
2: Fuel-Sipper
3: 40hp Daily Driver
4: 25hp Extremely Heavy Tow
5: 40hp Heavy Tow
6: Whisper Mode™
