So, what are you going to do in life (as we know it), when you're through modding your truck? Glad to have you with us! :howdy:

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking truck! Got a step ladder for getting in with that 8" lift?

You'll need it! And, it's your truck and all that and you didn't ask for my advice or anything else and please don't be offended by what I'm about to say - I'm an old man, and I have opinions! :geezer:

My first degree was Aerospace Engineering, very close to Mechanical Engineering, and I like the looks of your truck just the way it is. There's a nice balance between frame height and wheel size. If you jack it up more, I'll see it as "top heavy" (which it will be, since the center of gravity will be raised). It will be unstable in cornering. Plus, unless you mount humongous tires, you're not raising the axles at all and you don't have any better road clearance. (If you DO mount humongous tires, you'll reduce your effective gear ratio to the point that the truck won't be able to get out of its own way).

Additionally, raising the truck more will hurt you in fuel economy - I guarantee that. You increase the "interference drag" caused by air resistance at highway speeds.

For all these reasons, I'd really suggest NOT lifting it. And, forgive me for offering unasked for advice. I just couldn't help myself. :o
