reburn

Can I get an f5 reburned with php tunes?

I may be speaking out of turn but probably not. The burners and chips are coded, and some other techno mumbo jumbo that in my mind know how it goes but really dont know how to put it in words.

Anything is possible, but there is an unspoken agreement between most professionals in this business in which there is some respect for another company's hardware/software.

I wouldn't expect anything less than that from this company, but I had to ask.

The TS is burnable correct? and that is $30 a tune? What else do I need to get the ball rolling?

On occasion we've been asked to reburn F5/F6 chips but as Cleatus indicated, we generally don't mess with chips from other companies. While there's nothing to really prevent doing so, it's just not good practice. Occasionally there are extenuating circumstances, but there really needs to be good reason.

As for the TS, yes it's reburnable by you (with available burner) or by any number of other chip vendors. Standard tunes are $30.00 and full custom tunes are $60.00 for each position.

To order, download the Phoenix Module Order Form form the PHP website and send it in with the module.

Let me know if there's anything else we can answer.

Sorry Bill, I am confused. How is it burnable by me? what types of tunes might you suggest for me if I may ask?

Power Hungry Mon, November 30th, 2009 08:56 PM

We offer the burner for the TS chips as well as software that will allow access to a number of downloadable calibrations.

As to what tunes? That's up to you and depends greatly on how you plan to use the vehicle and whether or not you have any performance modifications. Most customers would go with:

1) Stock
2) 40 Tow
3) 65 Tow
4) 80 Daily Driver
5) 120 Race
6) High Idle or No Start)

Hope this helps.

So are you telling me that I can get the F.U. without the chip and burn my own tunes? What would that cost? Sorry for all the questions.

Power Hungry Tue, December 1st, 2009 02:46 AM

Yep... That's the size of it. However, you will need to send your chip in for reformatting to the burner. Not to worry, though. What we can do for you on that is provide your original chip tunes in case you want to switch around a bit between our files and your original ones.

The cost of the package without the chip is $395.00 plus shipping.

Take care.
