Chip installed but question

Finaly got my chip today, even though there wait was starting to irritate me it was worth it, easy to install. Took it out for a test drive after let the truck warm for a bit first, my question is though i know the chip is set up to overide codes, or at least i thought, my ses light came on and it was because of over boost but even though the light is on is the truck defueling itself?

How did it run? Were you able to exceed 24 PSI of boost?

I assume since you said it was for overboost, then it was for overboost. I am just asking you to be sure that's what it was.

What program were you running in? What year truck?

Its a 2000, I think it was on smokeshow when it did it, i dont remember i was out testing them all, but it went away when i was driving home on 65dd. I just figured it was overboost because i was building like 30psi and the truck was running great, i have a mod stock turbo with ats housing and a few other things, but shouldnt i be able to build more than 30psi? could it just be the truck getting use to the new programing?

My guess is that you have a P1211 ICP lower than desired code. I don't think that Bill disables that code because it's not so much a nuisance as the overboost, but a sign that your high pressure oil pump is not up to snuff.

It's still nothing to worry about.

i dont know how it would be because i have an adrenaline hpop and its only like 3 months old now

I didn't know that. You may have to find out exactly what the code is and then contact Bill if it's something that you think should be disabled.

ok so the code is an over boost code, with my boost fooler plugged in the ses light does not come on. sorry but whats the user cp?

At the top of the forum window, there a link to "User CP" which is the User Control Panel. This is where you set your settings to change how you view/use the forums. You can also fill in information for others to see and also put in private information for Mods and Admins to be able to help provide additional support.

As to the boost code, there were still a couple issues with them setting the Check Engine Light but I think I have that resolved now. If it's a concern for you, we can now fix it. Otherwise, just leave the boost fooler on and you'll be good to go.

Take care.
