Gryphon with tunes...are cats disabled?

I've got custom tunes and now I'm thinking about deleting the cats that came on the truck. My truck is an 06 so it just has two cats. If I remove these will I throw a CEL or has that been disabled in the tuning?

This is not something bill would ordinarily disable in a tune, so it might. Frankly though, I don't know if removing the cats would trigger the light or not.

You will defiantly get a code (P0420, P0430) if you remove your cats. There are a couple of ways to get around this besides programming.:D

Here's one.....

O2 Simulator, E-commerce

I knew taking them off would throw a code but I was wondering if they were disabled in the tuning process. On another forum one member was led to believe this was the case.

Maybe Bill while chime in.

does the gryphon offer o2 sensor bypass?

To my knowledge Bill doesn't disable o2 sensors due to EPA regulations.
What Dave suggested is probably your best bet.
