So, is this right....all F.U. tunes are custom to my truck?

So when I order an F.U. chip and burner are the 15-20 tunes CUSTOM to my truck? Are these sent to me via internet or sent with the tuner?

They aren't "custom" in a literal sense. If you have a nearly stock truck, then the tunes you will have access to are about the same as anyone else who has a similar truck as yours. They are custom in that they do typically work better than stock because certain year trucks can use tunes that are based off of Ford's finest calibrations vs. the dozens of "flops".

They are stored on PHP's server. You don't have access to any of the files first hand. You will download the files from PHP's server and they will be directly "burned" to the chip.

So would it be corect to say that a guy with a bone stock truck will get the same tunes as mine even thou I have 6" lift, 36" tires, a VB, air intake, and 4" exhuast? The benafit of having the FU is if you make mod changes you don't need to set you chip back? so would you only need to send it in if you are doing "big" modes? I was hoping I could get my speedo in line and was hoping to have my 36" tires programmed in.

Thanks for your help

Well, the only thing that can change in regards to your tire size is the shift points and they're pretty easily handled with changing one parameter (tire revs/mile). 36 inch tires are going to be something that REQUIRES changing the tunes to a true "custom" status. Also your aftermarket valve body may require LESS changes from stock. You may be in for the F.U.2 package (all absolutely custom tunes). In either case, you will not need to send your chip back as both FU packages come with a burner.

Trust me, I had speedometer accuracy problems! I ran 49" Iroks on a 95 CC/LB Powerstroke and kept the 4.10 gears.

Your speedometer CANNOT be corrected through the PCM programming. The ABS module handles that.

If I understand it right, Bill will make those Minor "custom mods" that Cody mentioned free of charge. The nice thing about the FU chip is you can download and try all the tunes and then once u find ones you like just ask Bill to make the specific mods... The FU tunes are encrypted so he has to do the changes but if you go all out and get the Minotaur setup you get the all the same tunes basically that are with the FU server but they are unencrypted so you can tweak them yourself. even share the files and get feedback from others assuming the other person has the same MDF's There are about half a dozen good ones that cover most of the diesels... As Cody, I think he has all of them :hehe:... there are only a handful of us using Minotaur but we are pretty helpful and friendly folks...
