Need pic of cut PCM Holder for chip install/removal..
The title pretty much says it. I know I have seen a pic of the PCM holder modded so the chip will slide in and out without having to remove the entire thing from the truck, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately, I just shipped off the remaining PCM holder that I had and I just gave my wife (ex) the camera.
It's easy though. Just cut out the portion of the holder that covers up the J3 port. I use a cut-off wheel on a die grinder, but I've also used a soldering gun (basically as a hot knife) and one of those razor knives. I like to take off the entire inside part (closest to the pedals) to get rid of the top bolt hole. Another thing I do is grind off the lip on the outside (toward the fender) where it goes up against the firewall so that I don't have to pry the PCM out when I remove it. Hope this helps and sorry I don't have any pictures. |
I can get you a pic, but I dont have the cord to get it off my phone. I can send it to you as a text if you like.
Sorry its the only camera I have right now. |
Cody,
Is that the (ex) wife or (ex) camera? Or both?? |
