MPG's on my "FU"

Okay I have only had this chip in for about a week now ... And LUV it !!! :cheesy smile::happy-dancing::cheesy smile:

Okay back on topic :notallthere:

Before "FU" MPG's = 12.5-13.5

After "FU" MPG's = 14.8-15.2

Set on "FU" 80hp DD

Before "FU" towing 7,000lbs = 9-10

After "FU" towing 7,000lbs =

Will set on 65hp Tow for 7,000 - 10,000lbs

So I am very thrilled with my chip :thumbs up yellow:

The extra power and throttle response in 80hp DD is plenty to keep my right foot happy

I have tried 120hp Race three times now and holy moly :evillol: I have not been able to hold it to the floor yet ... scary fast in a CC Dually 4x4 Long bed "big drink of water" :yikes2:

Put it back in "Stock" setting one morning on the way to work just to "check" myself ... and O-Yeah my "FU" is saaaaaweeeet :woot:

Awesome! I am patiently and axiously awaiting the delivery of my Phoenix. :twitch:

I hope to see some MPG gains as well, although I was already getting about 15-16, so I may be hoping for too much. I was only getting 8-9 towing my 5th wheel though, so even a 1 mpg increase there would be nice.

Did a day trip 562 miles ... prolly 420 miles of interstate ... 140 miles of backroads
Average 74 mph on the interstate part ...
Average 55 mph backroads ...

MPG = 15.1 :hmmm:

So if a train leaves San Fransico at 8am and another leaves NYC at 8am :giggle:

Anyway I have gained 1.5mpg(almost 2) :thumbs up yellow: so that justifies why I spent the money to get an "FU" :disbelief:

Allright my first trip pulling the Bronco with my new chip ... :woot:

Set on 69mph with 4.10 gears :fyi:

EDIT: 65hp tow

11mpg avg. :hmmm:

So about 1-2 mpg's better ... :cheesy smile:

Trans temp was 160-170 the whole time ... does that sound bout right

EGT's were 700 or so

Boost stayed around 4-5psi

The EGT's actually look a bit low at 700, I would guess around 900 when pulling but you are flat and near sea level so no biggie. also depends on which tow tune you are using .. different tunes can vary the EGT's by a few hundred degree under the same settings. if you are on 4.10 gears it will give you lower EGT's than I get as I have 3.73's
tranny temps look about right for highway they will climb to about 190+ if you are doing a lot of stop and go or stuck in traffic on the freeway

Thanks for the Input ... I had it on 65hp tow ... no big hill climbs or nothing on this trip ... mostly flat stuff ... but very proud of my truck and chip :thumbs up yellow:

I have towed 20K lbs on the Colorado front range with the 40tow with no temp problems I use the 80 DD to haul my 3500 lb trailer when its empty all the time too..
