Best fuel mileage tune

I see they say don't drive the fuel sipper on the highway, y is that? so its only an aroudn town file? If thats the case what probably is the best tune for highway mileage and all around town mileage?

Thanks Tim

The 80DD is probably the best tune for MPG's.

but what about the fuel sipper should you not run it on the highway?

I guess it was geared toward city driving. The shift points were low to try and keep R's down.

I got just over 17 on part of my drive today from St. George Utah to Las Vegas... thats doing 80mph with Cruise set... I have a modified 80HP performance tune that I was running.. your highway MPG's work best with higher ICP and shorter injector pulse width at least that is my understanding from Bill... I also got 15.5 running up the back route from Colorado springs thru Breckenridge in 4wd yesterday in a snow storm which includes going over 11000+ ft pass ...
I think Im gonna have him Live tune my truck at Bandimere this year for a high altitude super cruizer MPG tune and see what comes of it....

Alright, I just can't wait to get it to try it out.

He doesn't count, jerseymike....He's got an Excursion.

In all honesty, I can get nearly 20 MPG during certain times of the year. I have to drive 68-70 MPH to do that though and it's only while driving east through the state. Westward driving usually nets me about 18 max.

3.73 gears and should not be too different from the trucks average since I got the truck is 15 basically I have the 6637 intake and the 4" exhaust nothing real fancy
