HEADERS? Q?
I have gryphon custom tunes for my intake
I plan to add some shorty headers will i need new custom tunes? thanks |
Most of the time, no. But I have read posts from Bill where he recommends a custom tune for some brands of shorty headers. What brand are you putting on?
|
Shorty headers do not require any recalibration of custom tunes.
Peace!:) |
Longshot,
Those were in combination with other exhaust mods that required it. Peace!:) |
so as long as i retain the cats and OE "Y" [pipe i should be good?

I have one more question since you guys seem to know your stuff, its off topic but kinda still in the same range??
So what if i change intakes? I'm currently using a volant and hope to change to a K&N(chrome tubing). AAAAAANNNNDDD adding the shorty headers. DO you think i should get new cutom tunes? or willi be safe with the ones i have? |
With changing the CAI brands you will need to get the tunes rewritten for the particular intake you're installing.
This is due to the MAF sensor being relocated and a tube diameter change»may not be much but it could be enough. The shorty's have nothing to do with it. Peace!:) |
Can do, thanks for everything.

You're Welcome
You'll need to post in recalibration request in this forum and also goto the main website and fill out a gas order form, make sure to put in the notes section its for an upgrade. Hopefully the websites order forms are working now. Peace!:) |
