Gryphon-FICM newb question

Does the Gryphon program the FICM? I am looking at a FICM on ebay out of a International. If I buy it, will a Gryphon program it to work or do I have to send it to PHP or the dealer to get it programmed for my 6.0, before hooking the gryphon to it?
The reason I ask is that I noticed that remote programming is acheived via a Gryphon. I just wasn't clear whether it was a special FICM writing program, or if all the Gryphons write over the stock FICM program. Pardon my if this is a elementary question. Im a newb:embarrassed:

Yes the Gryphon programs the FICM, buts its a special gryphon that only programs the FICM. You have to return it, or buy it, if you want it for standard PCM programming. Once you buy it, Bill can send you PCM files and you can download them with Pegasus and then its a 6.0 diesel gryphon pcm programmer. Once its changed only Bill can change it back to a FICM programmer, or a PCM programmer.

Does that make sence?
