Trading My Truck
 

So, what's the proper thing to do when trading in a truck that has a Gryphon and custom tunes? I'm planning on returning the truck to stock and removing the unit from the truck.

I wont have another truck to put it into, but that's ok. What should I do to purge the custom tuning and return it to the PHP canned tunes? Can it be used on another NBS F150 if it's been restored to PHP canned tunes or am I S.O.L. with it?

Thanks for any information you guys can provide. My Gryphon was the best addition to my truck. Wished I had ordered it a few years ago.

You can return the Gryphon to a "canned" state after returning the truck to stock, but why not consider selling the Gryphon with the truck? You might be able to get more for it that way.

Return the truck back to stock and remove the programmer if it's being traded in at a dealership. Then sell it with canned tunes on it.

If it's a private sale then keep the gryphon with the truck and inform the new owner of what it does.

Now, to return the unit to it's original condition, how do I do that? I will try to sell it. I just didn't want this post to be seen as a how to/it's for sale type thread.
