K&N CAI to Gotts mod

Hi guys. :howdy: I have seen the answer before but I cannot find it right now so I'm sorry if this is a dumb post. Anyway, if I take out my K&N CAI and do the Gotts mod, will my custom tunes still be usable? Right now all 3 of my tunes are for the CAI. I have been noticing my truck kind of bog down with plenty of drone say after 1800rpm no matter what tune I'm running. I'm wondering if that is because of the intake. I never really noticed a performance difference over stock from it ever since I bought it and I'm just looking to find out if I can do the Gotts mod to change things up and get better results.

Anyone???
I have searched and still cannot find the answer. All I'm looking for is if I need to have my tunes rewritten if I do the Gotts mod.

I cant say I know the answer for sure, best bet would be to call PHP, but I think you would need them rewritten. With the K&N CAI your tunes were written "richer" than stock because that setup lets more air in than what your truck thinks, this is because the area around the MAF has changed.
So to be safe, get them changed, but to be sure, call Bill :cheesy smile:

Yeah, you'll probably need the tunes rewritten for the reasons stated above.

Thanks guys. That's what I thought I remembered reading somewhere but I couldn't find it again.
