Tell me whats up!

I am looking into upgrading my edge to a Gryphon, I dont know much about it.

I have a 2007 F150 4x4, with the 4.6L. I have installed a K&N filter, gotts mod, Have e-fans in the shop, will be installing soon, currently a edge programmer, line-x rockers, bumpers, fender flares, and step bars, 2.5" leveling kit and 35' federal M/T's, 5% tint all around with 50% on the windshield, 2 JL 10s with a 500 watt amp and 4 polk audio component's in the doors with a amp on them, and a jvc 7" dvd in dash. I also have a extang bed cover, led bed lights, all lights on truck have been converted to led, custom built headlights from sickhids.com, and thats all I can think of right now. I have a set of 20x9 rims ordered and waiting on them and will be installing a 6" rough country lift in a week or two.

I drive 21 miles one way to work and most of that is highway. I am a aggressive driver about 50% of the time. Once I get on the highway I cruse, try to get my good MPG there ( currently get high 15- mid 16 mpg on the way to work, not bad for 35s) I am looking fore a tune I guess that will give me some more pep and wont kill my mpg. I tow my atv alot, on a 6x10 trailer but not much more than that. I dont know what I need but I will only be running 87 ( cheap grade) so all my tunes will be for that.

Now, yall fill me in on what I may need, what are the steps in getting my edge upgraded and whats the turn around time?

Looks like a good setup you got there, tunes wise I think you should get the 87 tow and the 87 performance tunes. All you need to do to order the tunes on the php web site, they have a link there, and then explain to bill how you want your tunes to feel. the main question is which Edge do you have? if you have the CTS or CS then it will be simple to just upload the new tunes from fusion. If you have the regular old gryphon then you will need to send in the edge to get it converted to a gryphon. From what I am guessing, you have the regular old gryphon. this usually takes however long it takes to ship plus a few weeks. You will have to call PHP directly or wait for either Bill or Cody to respond to this thread to get a good estimate on time.
Another option that I just thought of, depending on how much your ATV and trailer weigh, you could get away with just a performance tune because they are rated to tow up to something like 2000 lbs. If they weigh close to that I would get the tow tune, but if the total weight of the trailer/ATV/cargo is less than that you should be ok, plus you can always switch over to the canned tow tune if you don't get a custom one yourself.

I hope this helped, and I am sure Jack or someone will chime in and explain some things better, but feel free to keep asking questions :D

Since you have the 4.6 I'd recommend a performance and tow tune. I've got a 4.6 and pulled a little over 1500 pounds between the bed and a small trailer with my performance tune and would have preferred a tow tune. It got the job done but it wasn't the kind of situation where I would want to be going a long distance.

I also need to know How to convert the measurements for my tires to put into the edge. I am running 35/12.5/R20, what would I put into the edge so it would be set for that tire size?

It'll be somewhere around 2760. If your speedo is still slow then go up in tire size or the opposite if it is fast.

Ok so reading around it sounds like the upgrade with just canned tunes is going to be a improvement over the regular edge. I do have the oruginal edge, not cts or cs. I am wondering if there is a way they could do a performance tune with the cheap grade gas, 87. I would like to always be on the performance stage just incase I want to play. I know my atv weighs around 550-600 so with my trailer I wont be over 1000 I dont figure. I want the performance tune to run cheap grade, be peppy and still get good MPG when crusing. I know that is hard to do but do yall think bill can get something close? I figure I will be trying to contact them moday and get the ball rolling to get this done!

Bill can write an 87 octane performance tune. I've been running mine for over a year and love it.

I would also recommend a tow tune since you are putting your truck at a mechanical disadvantage with the bigger tires. It may not seem like it will pay for itself now but once you try it you'll be glad you did.
