Not sure about the delay on closing the EBPV. The high idle can be put on any tune. it just changes the base engine speed value to whatever you want and yes it will start to pull in gear at hi idle. a bit more info on why you would want to drive with high idle would be helpful. I have mine at 1200 cuz that is what my alternator produces max amps at.

as for fuel economy I have not noticed a big difference in varied driving with and with out towing. go to Fuelly.com and look for my Ex... same user name to see my MPG history.
The Fuel sipper is really for in town driving with lowered shift points to keep RPM's down you would not want to tow with that tune.... the 100 and 80 HP performance tunes are my daily drivers

I just got the 25 and 40HP tow tunes from Bill but havent tried them yet...

With good tunes matched for your vehicle you will not be shortening the engine, tranny life... its all in how you drive and maintain it.... you may have the mechanical diode as you have a 2001 truck .. late 01's like mine dont have that.....
if you are towing a lot get a Transgo tugger kit installed or a modded Valve Body. The trannys are sort of the achillies heel of the fords

Head studs are not a 7.3 issue. the issue is the Powdered Metal Rods (PMR) vs the forged rods in earlier PSD engine... I have the 140 HP and it runs fine even on the PMR s but I don't use it often. above about 120HP you will start needing additional mods you mentioned and $$ per HP goes up exponentially from there...

there are changes to the TC shift points and Duty cycles etc... us Minotaur users mess with the tranny settings quite a bit.... Cody is the tranny expert around here

You shouldn't need different tunes for commercially made B20....

I recommend running a Full Synthetic engine oil... no idea about the propane meth water thing.. never messed with it
