The E10 is just crappy enough to affect fuel economy and not (usually) crappy enough to cause any real issues.
In many applications, the canned tuning is perfectly fine. As Jack mentioned, if you have (or plan on) modifications then custom tuning is the way to go. Even with a stock vehicle, there are benefits to custom tuning because we can take into account your driving habits, vehicle usage, intended fuel grade, and other factors to make calibrations that are tailored to your needs.
