It depends on the condition of your existing high pressure oil pump. By now, most 99-03 trucks are in the 150K mile range and above so the pumps are going to get weak.

If your pump is unable to maintain at least 2400 - 2500 PSI under hard acceleration, then yes, you will notice a difference.
