Live tuning has q few benefits. Most of these come with the transmission performance/shifting strategy. Everyone has different feelings on how a transmission should operate and nobody's preferences or needs are exactly the same. If you have a slew of modifications such as aftermarket injectors, then live tuning is definitely the way to go because every injector manufacturer does things differently and each "brand" is going to run a bit differently. Live tuning allows changes in the programming to be made while the engine is operating and the changes that need to be made can be performed on the spot to maximize the truck's driveability.
