- Optimized shift points for bog-free acceleration.
Shift points: What to expect? Raised RPM shifts? Converter lockup changed? Downshifts on deceleration? I asked this question a while back, but really didn't get what I was after. Of course, if I don't want something I am sure Bill would change it for me. The torque converter clutch strategy will be changed to PMT1 so that you get great 2nd gear TCC apply when you need it, instant 4-3 downshift tcc re-apply so you're not wasting power during an acceleration event (passing), and a 4-3 downshift at about 35 MPH that retains TCC apply for some engine braking.
RPM and top speed limiter: Are these adjusted as well? Elimitated top speed limiter and higher RPM operation (up to about 3500 RPM).
I really like STOCK shift points, but just firmer or rather more positive without slamming. Most programs are going to retain a near-stock shift strategy but the shifts will be firmed up a bit.
Thanks for everybody's help.
Also, I think I have a bad switch, can Bill check it out for me? AND what is the order time looking like now...I'm in no big hurry as I am running a chip now and this one is sitting in my tool box waiting for an update....and I see no reason why it shouldn't be loaded with new tunes from the folks at PHP.. The expected wait is about 7-10 days once it gets here. We can also check out the switch for you as well.
