I have a Garmin etrex legend that I use for kayaking and biking. I have also made use of Google maps gps coordinates to find all kinds of things from trails and fishing holes to friend's houses.

I have the exact same one...its works ok, but the other one I have is a whole lot better but more money of course (Cant think of the name right now and its in the boat)
