If you have 93 octane gas in the tank, you SHOULD be able to increase the timing if you are using the tow tune. (Notice I'm not saying to tow using a 93 octane Performance tune.)

But, because of the "load" on the vehicle, I don't think I'd simply advance the timing by +3. I think I'd start with +2 at first and see how it goes. Then maybe +2.5, +2.75, and finally +3.0.

I can't tell you what to look for here, because I have not tried it. But, if you experience any "discontinuous" performance or obvious bad behavior when you change something, it's a sign you've gone too far.
