The benefits of large nozzles.
Instead of injecting .16cc of fuel over 67 degrees of crank rotation at 2800 RPM (arbitrary number), it's possible to get the same amount of fuel in 50 degrees. This gives the fuel more time to burn completely before the exhaust valve opens.
I guess in the grand scheme of things though, that statement isn't entirely true. I only get about 2 milliseconds of actual "spray time" with my truck at the moment because my high pressure oil pump can't supply enough oil for more injector on-time (read: not really injecting the full capacity of fuel). The truck WILL smoke like a freight train (as evidenced in the first "all-out" dyno run I did with it) but it's horribly inefficient.
