I'm no expert, but I would make sure you are full on oil. Your HPOP is probably just a little weak and in need of replacement sometime, but will probably get you home. The tunes put extra load on the HPOP, because to make more power, it takes more fuel. To get more fuel the injectors have to fire more fuel, and since the injectors are oil actuated, it takes more out out of the HPOP to get more fuel. If the pump is weak, it won't keep up under heavy load, high demand. Probably not going to leave you walking, but is something to keep in mind for future repair.
Sometimes though, the pumps will start leaking and spew all the oil out of the engine. It can be either the HPOP itself or the lines from the HPOP. Either way, that's not good 1000 miles from home. If you are extra low on oil, I would definitely get it checked out. If you aren't extra low......I wouldn't be afraid to head home. I wouldn't push as hard on the way home, but I would point the truck in that direction and try to get there. But like I said, I'm no expert.
Hopefully someone who is an expert will chime in.

that is pretty much how it was explained to me, the inj. are asking for more oil than the HPOP can supply. My SES lite will come on if I get on it hard in my 120 race tune but will go out in a few miles of normal driving.
