In all honesty, I believe that the Phoenix would be great. The Gryphon isn't "switch on the fly" capable. On the other hand, the Phoenix will have "tunes" put on it, but it can't be fine-tuned by the end user like the Gryphon can.

I'm not sure about what someone would do with more than 2-3 tunes on a gasoline-powered rig since up to 6 are available on the Phoenix, but I know that the same tunes that are available for the Gryphon are also available for the Phoenix.
