Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled)
Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip.

If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here.

Default Chip update

So I stuck my truck in 100hp and headed to Wisconsin for the day. Running on and off the throttle and hitting some of the sizeable hills I averaged 19 to 20. This is the best I have ever gotten. I pretty much light footed it but was running 70 part of the time. Haven't had chance to pull camper yet but so far so good. Just thought I would let everyone know.

Heh now you are gonna want to get the FU chip cuz you will be addicted to the 100hp and not want to go lower.. esp if you are getting that kind of MPG... when u pick a tow tune, basically you just need to watch your EGT and Trans Temps. go with the best tune that doesn't put those in the danger zone. Keep in mind the Outside air temp will affect the actual tranny temps...

time to add the 120 or 140 HP tune heh

Be careful adding the 120 and 140 Hp tunes on the newer 7.3l as they have the powdered metal rods that will snap with the higher power levels.

Can you say 7.3 with air conditioning.

Congrats on the mileage, that is impressive.

I don't plan on anything more than the 100 cause of the rods. I think my drag racing days would want to kick in again, and I gave that up a couple years ago. I run amsoil in the trans and that seems to help. I ran to Michigan last August and never went over 190 temp pulling my trailer. I was pretty happy with that. I have been debating over putting a shift kit in it though. It seems this John Woods is pretty well liked in the industry. I don't want to touch the original so that I always have that option to go back to.
