Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

Got my Phoenix chip last week in the mail, but wasn't able to install it until yesterday. Got it installed without issues and all I can say is wow tunes really woke the truck up. The bad, about a minute into having the truck on with the chip I got an SES light. Hooked the scanner to it and got two codes related to glow plug control module, tried to erase the codes but the scanner wouldn't let me? I took the chip out and all is fine no codes. My truck doesn't even have a gpcm since its not a california truck.

Uhh first of all what is your PCM code? This sounds like a tuning issue for sure this is odd.

According to the hex code based off of the incomplete box code you gave on your order form ("UKN"), you have a 50-state emissions (CA) truck. The only two PCM codes that begin in "UKN" are UKN0 and UKN1. Both are CA-emissions box codes.
From your order form: "UNABLE TO LOCATE PCM CODE WITHOUT TAKING PCM OUT." |

I have one simple question for you and it's not meant to come across as mean, but how in the world did you expect to get a chip of any kind for ANY truck without a PCM code? Had you left the "PCM Code" space blank, we would have sat on the order form for months (until you called with an actual PCM code) before the chip would have been programmed and shipped. Until that point, I assume you would have been on the forum complaining about your inability to get in touch with someone at PHP because your chip hadn't shipped yet. The order form asks for a PCM code for a reason.
"I had to put something on the order form"..... Well, you had to pull the PCM to clean the contacts for the chip anyway and it only takes a couple minutes to do so. Also, the part about the truck being ordered for Texas doesn't hold any water either because we find CA-emission trucks in EVERY state because while the truck may have been intended for California sale, people buy them and move or a dealer in a nearby state may do a dealer trade with a California dealer if the dealer in California has a specific build of truck that a customer in another state wants. |

Sorry didn't think the PCM code was necessary since the truck is stock. Yes the truck was meant as a Texas truck cause I ordered it with specific options that the truck had to be built not sourced from another dealer. How do I go about getting it returned for a reburn?
Thanks, |

Hmmm I knew it, well that should take care of your problem then.. And yeah PCM code is ALWAYS required.

Not from me.
You sent it to Georgia and I am 2000 miles from there. |
