1994 to 2020 Ford Cars All OBD-II vehicles go here. Mustangs, T-Birds, Cougars, Taurus SHOs, Contours, Focus, Mark-VIIIs, GTs, and anything else you can think of will be right at home. If you have questions about late model cars or just have a nice one to brag about, here's the spot for you, too! |

Ok, here's my next project. Well, it's been an ongoing project since 1994 but I'm about to finalize it.
PCM code is AYA. This is going to rock...please hold on for pictures!

Do you have a read of the PCM flash? If not, send it this way and I'll read it for ya. We can do chips for those.

Oh I will
![]() Since it's kind of a "hot rod" project and always has been, it's not going to stay mundane forever. I plan to turbocharge it (only 6-7 PSI) and at least make the transmission not shift like a grandma-mobile.

There may be a change to this story.....
I might have a line on a 99 PSD (don't know whether it's early or not since I haven't looked at it yet) that sounds like it has a low compression issue. The guy is going to drop it off next week so I can do a compression test on it. He bought it for the flatbed (hydraulic bale-loader type) and didn't pay a whole lot for it. He may be willing to sell it cheap. I might end up with a blue '76 4x4 PSD with a 6-speed. Since the '76 is already insured ($30/mo.) and has permanent plates on it, this is looking to be an interesting project....if the guy's price isn't totally rediculous. Here's the initial truck: ![]()
