Default Post your quarter mile times.

Just curious of what everyone is running.

I did a 16.97 today at 82.7mph. 90degrees out

I have

CAI
Long tubes with no cats
Flowmaster 50 series dual exhaust
Gryphon with custom tunes

I need to get my truck on the dyno. I know theres more power left in the engine.

I can't recall the speed, but I ran 16.9 with my '05 Supercab with 4.6L. I have an AEM CAI, and a SI/DO Magnaflow system with a couple of tunes by Bill. I did my run on the 93 octane setting on an 80-something degree day.
I also did a run this past winter with the same power level but on a 26 degree day and shaved a full second off the time.

Sure, you can get more, but that is equally related to how much money you want to spend. I don't expect you're likely to get much more out of your truck unless you start changing some internal parts like cams, heads, add a supercharger, and so on. Tuning is only going to take you so far; you're optimizing the parameters for the components you're using, and there's only so much you can do without changing more of those components. Unfortunately, gas engines are as responsive to tuning as diesels.

Ran a 16.17 today @ 85.1 mph. With about 10ft of wheel spin. Im running 100% brand new 255/75/17 BFG MT KM tires. measure in at an even 33" i believe, and at a stock 3.55 gear.

I think i can run a 16.0 with some practice.

Pretty good for a 5.4l right?

Oh and the speedo is with .5 mph at 70mph of GPS... I think thats pretty accurate. Its real close.

I was sitting at 16.0 @ 86 with stock tires but I went up a few sizes. Now I'm getting about 16.7 @ 82 with tire spin. I could get lower if my reaction time had been better and the wheels had hooked but I dont do those runs very often. I'll get some better times later.

'08 4.6L with 265/70-17 and 3.55

I dont think the reaction time plays into the ET on the tuner.
