Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

Newbie Question about Phoenix
Just got my 6-pos Phoenix and have been running for a week. I think my PCM has been flashed with something other than Ford stock. I've had the truck for a month (bought from a dealer; no info from owner). Stock setting on Phoenix totally different than before w/o chip. W/O Phoenix had good perf and 19mpg, trans would shift to O/D at 40mpg with light throttle, in Park would go to high idle (1100) after 2 min. There are other that make me suspicious that this not a stock setup looking back at it.
Anyway, my question is: How will having a PCM flashed NOT stock affect my Phoenix chip performance? Is this going to be a problem? Or does the Phoenix totally take over with no changes? Thanks! Great forum! Great service from PHP! http://forum.gopowerhungry.com/image...sy%20smile.gif 2000 F250 stock (I think), 2wd, crew cab auto, 3.73, 178k miles: Stock, 80dd, 100p, 120r, AIS 65tow, Whisper 80tow. |

Thanks for the fast answer!!! I hope you all are doing better with all the health problems.
Would it be possible to retrieve the tune on my pcm and make it one of my tunes on the Phoenix chip? If so, do you have an estimated cost? The Phoenix chip is working great, I am looking forward to doing some fine tuning to make the truck even better. Thanks! I really appreciate all your help! |
