Default Custom tunes needed now?

I'm just about to order a gryphon for my 2004 5.4L ford f-150, but im not sure about if i need to order any custom tunes at the moment. Right now the only modification that I have on my truck is i removed the stock muffler and put on a 12" glass pack (gets that little extra sound i wanted). Would a custom tune really do anything extra at this point?
The canned tunes are tranny only, 87 tow, and 93 performance. What do most people run on as far as canned tunes go for everyday use?

What do most people run?
Custom tunes if you are not waiting for them.
But if your waiting for them it's a toss up between the 87 tow and 93 performance canned tunes.
The 93 perf canned is fun to use and alot of people with the stock air intake enjoy this one.
The 87 tow canned runs a little richer and helps if you are waiting for customs involving a cai that's already installed.
Depends what octane gas you want to fill up your truck with.

Unless you put 91+ octane gas in your tank, I'd use the 87 tow.

But, even in your case, I think custom tunes will be even better. Not "blow your mind better", but, better. I know I gained about 0.5 mpg with the custom tunes and the driving experience feels even better than canned.

ya, i normally just run 87 oct. poor college student. not really able to afford that expensive gas... :P
So i guess a custom tune replacing the tranny only tune would be the way to go. Should i get the 87 performance or 87 tow then?

If you are looking to get 1 custom tune go with the 87 perf custom. Keep the levels 2+3 and replace the level 1 tranny only with the custom.
