help with update...
i had a cai in my truck but couldnt get rid of the droning with timing. bill sent me a pm a while ago weeks before sema and said my recalibrated custom tunes were done. i tried to dl them and i got an 87, 87, 91 tune. i ordered an 89, 89, 91. im certain these are not my tunes. i also noticed that in 91 perf mode i get a vibration upon hard acceleration. no other modes does this. i remember when i first got my gryphon the 87 tow did this.
two questions: 1) are they around much? still waiting for my updated tunes. 2) is there any else getting this wierd vibration on any of their tunes? |

If you found tunes for your unit, they are YOUR tunes. They're "married" to your invoice number (serial number). Bill has been known to name the tunes a bit wrong at times, he did that with mine. If you asked for 89, 89 and 91, that's what you got. As far as the vibration goes, I've never had that. Can you describe what you are feeling any better? I suspect Bill is going to need a clear understanding of the problem if he is to fix it. - Jack

Troy,
The tunes are your tunes, they're just mislabeled. I've rebuilt the calibration to correct that problem. As for the vibration, I'll need a better description. However, I just don't know what else to ask you on that. Under hard acceleration, it could be anything. Torque management, axle twist, misfire. Hard to say. I made a minor change to the 91 program to eliminate the possibility of lean misfire. If it goes then great. If not, then I'd almost say it's something driveline related and the power output is causing some kind of binding. Take care.

thanks for the reply guys. ok about the tune labeling. about the vibration, i it's just an ever so slight vibration that i get. at first, i did think it was driveline related but when i switch over from my #3 tune to the others i dont get any vibration. i also remember seeing this thread on f150online(dot)com and it sounds like what's happening to me...
