Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled)
Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip.

If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here.

Default Smoke Tune tuning on Check Engine light

Installed 6pos. chip, stock , 60DD, 80DD,smoke, 120race, 65tow.
So far love the tunes, 80DD pulls hard, of course the 120 race , lets just say . Smoke tune , not getting as much smoke as i would like would have liked to see more but the issue is, when i am in smoke tune, roll into the throttle the check engine light comes on, spiking 25psi boost. engine light will stay on for about 1-2mins and then go off.
Can someone tell me what this code might be?

thanks,

It's hard to say. Bill usually lowers the desired injection pressure under higher loads/RPM on the Smoke Show tunes.

I would venture to say that the ICP is lower than desired (P1211 Code) but without actually scanning it, it's impossible to say for sure. You may have an overboost code, but some trucks don't turn on the check engine light for that.

Is the lower ICP going to hurt anything? Or is over boost is that going to hurt anything?
when does the over boost trip the chk engine light? how many psi?

Lower ICP won't hurt anything.

The overboost usually trips between 22-25 PSI but a defuel will occur under most circumstances in the case of an overboost. Do you have a 99-03 or a 95-97 truck?

I have a 2000 F250 4x4,
wicked wheel
adreline oil pump
k&n intake kit
boost,pryo,trans temp gauges.

so in a defuel, or over boost, is it going to hurt anything,

I have the resistor to install on the map sensor, but have not done so yet.
should I , or just not worry bout the engine light,

Of interest, i havent had the check engine light come on using the 120race setting..

thanks for your responses.

Bill may have disabled the overboost code in the 120 program.

You definitely shouldn't be having low ICP with an adrenaline so rule that out.
A defuel due to overboost won't hurt anything but performance.
