Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled) Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip. If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here. |

6 Speed Tunes?
Yes, another 6 speed thread. Pretty sure I got most stuff figured out, just have a few questions.
Truck setup is in my sig. Thinking of doing something like this: 1. Stock 2. High Idle 1200 combined with 65 Tow 3. 100 Performance 4. 120 Race 5. Smoke 6. No Start Ok, so questions: It looks like a blank phoenix chip costs 250 with each added tune costing an additional $25. Does the high idle with 65 tow actually cost $50? Or is it still the standard $25? High idle does work with the 6 speeds right? I'm assuming it just requires the parking brake to be applied in order for it to idle up. It seems us 6 speed guys skip the DD and go right to the performance tunes. Is the 100 a decent daily tune or should I be looking more into an 80 performance tune? Thanks guys!

IDK about the high idle-65 tow deal, but yes I believe the park brake is set to let the high idle work.
I believe the 100perf & 120race are pretty much the same with stock oil & inj. but someone will come along that knows alot more than me.

I don't have a Pheonix...yet but what I'm reading on another forum is the 80DD is the bomb. Not only good power but great mileage, some 2-2.5 gains.
I'd forego the 120 for that. |

Okay, one question down. Thanks for the info on the parking brake - high idle situation!
As for the daily driver option - the only reason I didn't consider it is because most guys with the 6 speed are saying a lot of the tune is dedicated to shift points... which means it suits an automatic better. Any guys with a 6 speed that have first hand comparisons between the performance and DD settings? If you have a 6 speed and could only pick one tune for daily driving, what one would it be? Price question still open for anyone in the know. Thanks for the info so far guys!

Still the price question: Surely someone must have ordered a combo tune before? Bill, Cody, Corey, someone, anyone?
