VXCF4 tunes with latest FICM update.. Safe??
Unfortunatly Ford flashed my truck to the VXCF9 strategy, but I have a SCT X3 and can run my truck with the VXCF4 tunes that I have, but what I would like to know is if it is safe for me to run the older tunes with my FICM being updated to the latesest strategy from Ford? I get better MPG with the VXCF4 tunes but would I see even more improvment if I had my FICM rolled back by PHP? I live in Idaho so it gets cold here in winter so I want good cold starts, but I also want MPG and power? Any thoughts on this would be helpful. Thanks...

You could get one of Bills Hybrid FICM programs the mpg benifits of the Older programs, but with the cold starting ability of the newer ones.
But it will not hurt the truck to run VXCF4 with a FICM program from VXCF9

That sounds like a good idea. I will look into doing that. Right now with me running the VXCF4 my MPG is way better but every so often my ECM throws a code for FICM reading incorrect. I hope thats not a problem. The truck seems to run just fine... Thanks for you input.
