transmission toast!
last tuesday headed home from work doing 55-60 down a normally busy road (although no traffic this day {blessing}) out of no where RPM's go crazy, and i start coasting and smoking into a parking lot a few hundred feet down the road, shut off, get out and see trans fluid gushing out of the bell housing. after having it towed to a friends shop Anderson Auto Fix .com, the front pump drive gear shattered tearing through the pump and seal, starved clutches and burned them up. Jimmy (owner/friend) can get me a deal on a Jasper performance reman, are these any good? also, could my edge have caused so much desired pressure to weaken it? I know unlikely, but possible?

I certainly wouldn't start by blaming any programming for a pump gear failure.
I haven't heard any real opinions one way or another on Jasper's stuff.

Sorry to hear about the tranny toasting.
Its a pump failure and that does happen with or without tuners. Give these guys a call if you want a built one:Transmissions The only other reman I'd suggest is ford itself. Another article about our trannies: http://www.motorhaven.com/kens/transmission3.htm

Do you still need a transmission? If so let me know. I am picking up an engine next week that has a 2wd transmission connected to it. I have a 4wd so I do not need the tranny. It has 9k miles on it. Let me know
