I don't think you're going to get an "Earth-shattering" boost from canned to custom tunes. I've said in the past, it's more of a "refinement". Personally though, I'm happy I have custom tunes and would not want to go back to canned.
But, DO try to talk to Bill before ordering if you can. He does not want your expectations to be too high, and he'd prefer to give you a "realistic" view of the benefits before you submit an order. - Jack
