Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled)
Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip.

If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here.

Default Chip issues...

I wanted to post this here before I make a service ticket..

I've been running the chip for almost 2 months now.. When I first got it I was burning tunes left and right. Finally got them modified to my liking and left them alone for a month or so.. Had been working great..

I got my custom tunes for it the 5th, so I burned them and got ready to test drive the truck.. The check engine light just stayed on.. So I pulled the chip, checked the connections at the ECM to make sure they were clean, and they were.. Put it back in, still nothing, truck wont start and has no sensor feedback ( like the ECM was brain dead ).. Reburned several times with the same results.. I got it to finally work, I figured it must have been a bad connection.. As soon as I got done with the test drive and shut the truck off, I tried to start it back up, and nothing, just the CEL. I bet I messed with it for 20 mins, cleaning the contacts and so forth.. Finally it worked..

Yesterday I jumped in the truck, same thing, CEL light, no start.. Messed with it for 10 mins, pulling the chip in and out. Finally worked.. Today it was the same thing.. This time I used some electronics cleaner on it, first time I put the chip in it worked.. Got home, shut the truck off, then turned the key back on, nothing...

If I pull the chip out, and leave it out the truck will fire right up no problem.

I think it's something with the chip itself.. Otherwise you'd think the truck would be screwing up while driving.. My truck has a beefed up suspension, most of the time it's pulling a trailer. So when it's empty it's very rough. So you'd really think if it was a connection, the first few bumps you'd hit the truck would shut off or something, but it doesnt..

Any idea's?
