Looking at a bunch of things here!

P1000 is because you put it back to stock and/or disconnected the battery so that's not the problem.

The other dtc codes all involve the throttle body or the pedal switch.

Sounds like this doesn't happen while at level 0?
Or does it now?

Try replacing the pedal switch?

Clean then maf with maf sensor cleaner?

Clean the throttle body?

BTW what's the year and engine size and milage?

Cai or not?

Lars

Right, Lars - it's not really clear to me though if the truck seems to be running properly at Level 0. It started, and since the codes weren't cleared, they were displayed. The last code you mentioned (I guess when it didn't start), was: P2104 Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) System - Forced Idle

So, everything seems to involve the Throttle Position Sensor and/or the Throttle Control, which makes sense because the throttle control relies on sensor readings to tell it where things are. Remember, there's no direct link between the pedal and the throttle body in our "drive by wire" trucks.

When it started in Level 0, did it seem to run normally? If it did, then I'd have to say there was a fault in the tune file. But I wouldn't expect a tune to muck with the sensor readings and it seems to me there's a "cause and effect" relationship between the sensor readings and the control positions. I do think Bill's tunes might bias a control value though. It seems a bit like a chicken and egg problem to me - which is first?

And, I just realized - you didn't say if you are running "canned" or "custom" tunes yet. I was assuming "custom" tunes. Which are they? Maybe, if it's canned tunes you could just update the "calibration" file using Pegasus. Looking at your Serial Number, I think you still have the canned tunes, right?

However, I DO think we need to bring Bill into this, so I'll try to do so.

Sorry I've been a bit unavailable myself - I'm dealing with the aftermath of a broken water supply line to the house we rent out and the resultant flooding of the interior!

(Are any of us having fun yet)?

- Jack

Ok so this is where I am at so far:

04F150 STX 4.6L w/ CAI
mileage: 60K
Running canned tunes just installed last week!
FYI - I cleared the codes each time before restarting above.

I haven't replaced or cleaned anything yet.

Today I tried blowing out all the connections with some air with no change.
The only 2 programs I used was 0 & 2 which both give me similar feed back.

Let me know if you need any more info?

If you are getting the same results in both levels 0+2 then it could just be a coincidence that this happened?

Try all of these:
1. Clean the TB and MAF sensor. Use maf sensor cleaner.
2. The other thing is try and replace the pedal swicth.
They go out more than the TB.
3. Then if its not any of these then it may be the TB. But let's just hope its a gunky TB!
4. May have to replace TB.

Do these steps in this order. Then see if the codes still come up. Process of elimination.
Heck of a lot cheaper to do in this order also.

Do steps 1-3 as a last resort do step 4.
Get yourself a hanes or chilton manual for your truck. It will be the best $20 you ever spent!
I think the pedal switch is available from Ford.
