The programmers are pretty robust. In fact, we have our Gryphon and Garmin sitting right next to each other on the dash. We recently had a 100º day and when we got back in the Expy., the Gryphon was humming along nicely and the Garmin would boot up because it was too hot. Granted, the GPS has a LOT more processor in it than the Gryphon does so the heat dissipation is a much bigger concern.
All in all, the only real issue we've ever seen is the screen going dark under really high in-cab temps. Take care.
