Hey lars, i just went to the gm dealer who installed it
 . The alternator is the correct one. Everything works great. The manager looked quite embarrased :o when i showed him. I'm going back in the morning to have the pulley changed out to the 6 groove. I dont think the belt needs changing quite yet, there was no harm done to it. I think spending 270 on the truck one day was plenty
