 Howdy there, Iowa! Congratulations on the purchase.  To start with, make sure you cover all the normal bases: Tire pressures, fresh fluids, clean air filter and fuel filter. These will definitely impact fuel economy. A programmer can often help fuel economy, with many users seeing about 1 MPG increase along with the performance increases. Take care and stay warm.
