When it shifts above 1500 rpm it's like a slow hard shift into gear, like rough enough to make you think the tranny is failing or going to fall out. It doesn't move you physically but it can be felt through the pedal and the truck itself, I pay close attention to her to make sure she's running 100%. I'll be driving and at 15mph it goes from 1-2 and it feels like it slams into gear. Not a smooth shift and not even a firm shift that is felt when you bump the firmness settings up. Just leaving it stock for now and filed a ticket/claim on Friday. Hope to hear back soon |

Well today I lost 1st and reverse
2nd, 3rd, 4th and o/d all work Just flashes, whines in reverse, no movement, whines in neutral Goes in the shop tomorrow or monday Hoping ford covers this under the 60,000 mile powertrain warranty The ford who serviced my tranny at 30,000 I would believe is the culprit, turns out my friends f150 who was serviced at the same ford went through 3, yes three, transmissions at that dealer in 80,000 miles... |

That is not fun. You need to program back to stock and remove the programmer, cable and everything associated with the programmer. Otherwise they could wiggle out of covering it.
Good luck

Longshot beat me to it (damned younsters ). Do what he says.
It really sounds to me like a problem with your transmission install, as you said, rather than anything a programmer did. (And I know Bill is rather "conservative" when it comes to tweaking the transmission because he wants it to last.) - Jack |

Cable and tune has been removed. Do I HAVE to drive 50 miles or just say the battery cable was disconnected overnight to see if the problem went away; to ensure the P1000 code I believe it is, is not stored in the PCM. Praying to the Ford gods that they fix it under warranty |

Jack I aint so young anymore...I'm a year older than I was a week ago.
I think it would be better to drive around to get rid of the code. You can take the programmer along while you drive and periodically check to see if it is there. The programmer can be used to passively monitor the truck.

Truck is at ford
The tech drove it around for a few minutes to see what was wrong He came back around and cruised through the service department..."no reverse?!" Waiting to hear back from them tomorrow to see what the final verdict is |

Turns out something in the truck is shorting the pcm/trans
Ford says its fixed and I am about to go and find out. Will take it for a drive and put the tuner back in and see if it shifts the same Does PHP offer a program through the mac computers or just windows? My pc died a month back and still waiting on a replacement drive with operating system |

Just windows... but its a small program so find a friend with a working pc, ideally with windows xp still, and install it there
