Thanks Cody, so the single shot w/stock nozzles is what I should be looking for

That's what I recommend for everyone in your shoes, CJ.

On paper, the Stage 2 injectors 160/80 or 100% nozzles just aren't worth the trouble. You're either shooting for good numbers on stock high pressure oil (like the 160/0% injectors in Bill's red truck; 395 HP and still able to maintain 3000 PSI) for $1100 or you're looking at making more than 400 HP with the possibility of not needing an aftermarket high pressure pump (strong case for hybrids).

Stage 2's are just kind of....well.... outdated. They're pretty oil hungry and they don't have the fuel capacity for an easy 400+ HP.

Thanks Cody, the reliability is really what I'm after & the way I drive I've got plenty of power. I'm just trying to get a good idea of what I want to do as I've got 190k on the originals & I believe a couple are a little sticky.

Do you recommend Hybrids then Cody. Really getting time I think for new injectors on the 7.3.

It all depends on what your goals are.

If you want above 400 HP, then yes. Keep in mind that your turbocharger, transmission (or clutch if it's a manual), and likely the high pressure oil pump will hate life if you plan on "using" that 400+ HP all of the time. The costs add up quick.

If you want a truck that maintains stock-ish reliablity on stock parts with a nice boost in power above stock (up to 380 or so horsepower), then go with Stage 1's.

Another bit of modification done....

I had some time on Friday afternoon so I did some bodywork to the dents and dings in the front bumper and painted it as well as the headlight bezels and grille. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate bodywork and painting? It's nice with the right equipment but it's still not my bag o' chips.

Next up is the rear bumper. I have to weld up a hole that was previously used for a trailer plug and then reinstall a license plate light but there's no other damage that needs fixin'.

The shade of white looks a little off at the moment but the truck is filthy and the paint will darken a little bit after a couple washes. Heck, the bugs stuck to it will get me there even faster. Trying to color-match paint that is 11 years old already is TOUGH.

ON EDIT:

I also included a post-bath photo....much better!

Before bath.

After bath.
