Phoenix Switch-On-The-Fly Chip (DISCOUNTINUED) (Disabled)
Power Hungry no longer sells the Phoenix/TS chip, but if you need custom tuning we can recommend a few really good tuners that will be able to still provide tuning and support for your chip.

If you have any other questions or comments about the Phoenix/TS chip, please post it here.

Default Thanks - and a question?!

Got everything installed about a week ago. The tunes are awesome! It's a whole 'nother animal now. Thanks PHP, great product with a great price!

Anyways, I just have one question - position 2 is high idle combined with a tow setting. The high idle is on a 5 second delay. It works great when I first start the truck and for about the next 5 minutes of casual driving it continues to work when I stop. But it seems like after the truck reaches a certain temperature it will never come on again? I sit and wait and wait and wait, and switch between tunes trying to get the high idle to come on, but it wont. I turn the truck off and restart it to see what happens, it still wont come on though. If I park for a few hours and the truck cools off it will work again when I go back out.

Is this supposed to be happening? I was under the impression the high idle would help with cooler AC or spinning the alternator quicker if I was running a winch or something... but the high idle becomes a dead feature after about 5 minutes of driving. Any ideas? Or is this tune just strictly a winter warm up feature?

What name was the order under? The name in your user profile isn't coming up.

The verdict is that you are right.

It's fixable though.

Hmmm, okay thanks. Canada Post is on strike right now (so no mail at all in Canada right now) and it isn't a huge deal anyways (as the main reason I wanted it WAS for warm up) so I wont be sending it back... at least not yet.

Just curious, what is the cost to upgrade to the FU package? I was just thinking once I pay shipping both ways and possible customs / brokerage fees, it may almost be a better idea for me to just pay a little extra and get the chip burner.

Thanks for your help!
